Miracles Today

We all would have loved to have been in the crowd when Jesus fed the five thousand, or have been standing nearby when He raised Lazarus from the dead. These miracles and the other astounding works of God in the Bible engage our imagination and impact our faith in an all powerful God.

There is no doubt that we should remember these miracles of the Word of God.
Psalms 105:5 Remember his marvellous works that he hath done; his wonders, and the judgments of his mouth;
The question is, "Can you remember any miracles in your own life? Is there anything that God has done for you that couldn't be accomplished through human manipulation and ingenuity?"

The Jews were told to retell the miracles of the Exodus to their children down through the generations.
Exodus 10:2 And that thou mayest tell in the ears of thy son, and of thy son's son, what things I have wrought in Egypt, and my signs which I have done among them; that ye may know how that I am the LORD.

Gideon wondered where the time of miracles went. He was about to find out that his God was still in the miracle business.
 Judges 6:13 And Gideon said unto him, Oh my Lord, if the LORD be with us, why then is all this befallen us? and where be all his miracles which our fathers told us of, saying, Did not the LORD bring us up from Egypt? but now the LORD hath forsaken us, and delivered us into the hands of the Midianites.

My challenge for us today is for us to add to our prayer lists some things that only God could do, to ask for the miracle. We exercise faith when we ask for things that only He can do. What's on your list?
